U.S. Aggression Targets Yemen to Protect Israel, Not Maritime Security, Says Abdul Salam
The American position has been exposed to the Yemeni people and to all free people, it is a position in support of the criminal Zionist entity. It has nothing to do with maritime navigation
Yemen – The head of Yemen’s National Negotiating Delegation, Mohammad Abdul Salam, asserted that the United States' position in the ongoing regional conflict is clear: full support for the occupying entity of “Israel.” He rejected Washington’s claims that the aggression against Yemen is meant to safeguard international maritime navigation.
“The American position has been exposed to the Yemeni people and to all free people around the world — it is a position in support of the criminal Zionist entity. It has nothing to do with maritime navigation, which is not under any significant threat. What truly threatens navigation is America’s violation of nations’ sovereignty and the militarization of international sea lanes to ensure Israel’s security at the expense of the people of the region,” Abdul Salam wrote in a statement on Friday (April 11).
Millions of Yemenis Rally in Support of Gaza
He also highlighted the public response to the aggression. “Nearly a month after the start of American aggression against Yemen, today our people have come out in unprecedented numbers across Sana’a and other provinces, with immense enthusiasm, rejecting this brutal aggression and declaring their full support for Gaza,” he added.
U.S. Gains Nothing But War Crimes
According to Abdul Salam, this aggression has yielded nothing for the aggressors, except a trail of crimes against civilians and civilian infrastructure.
“This is a complete failure, and a blatant crime against a people whose resilience will only grow stronger. These crimes will not weaken them — they will only deepen their resolve and commitment to their just and legitimate cause,” he affirmed.
Claims of Maritime Security Are Fabricated
He further refuted the American narrative regarding threats to maritime navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
“The claim that attacks on Yemen are meant to protect maritime navigation is false, misleading, and entirely untrue,” he stated. “The real objective of this aggression is to protect Israel and to encourage its continuation of genocidal war against the people of Gaza.”
Abdul Salam concluded by warning that such actions by the United States serve only to drag humanity back to an era of barbarism and the law of the jungle. (PW)
