Undeterred by US Brutal Attacks, Yemen Stages Mass Rally for Palestine
Provinces across Yemen including Saada, Raymah, and Marib, witnessed massive demonstrations on Friday under the banner 'Steadfast with Gaza in the Face of US-Israeli Escalation'
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Provinces across Yemen—including Saada, Raymah, and Marib—witnessed massive demonstrations on Friday under the banner "Steadfast with Gaza in the Face of US-Israeli Escalation." The morning rallies filled over 100 main and secondary squares across cities and districts in the aforementioned provinces and beyond, expressing unwavering support for the people of Gaza.
Later in the day, an even greater nationwide turnout was expected, with a million-person march planned at Sabeen Square in the capital, Sanaa, and demonstrations set to take place at more than 400 main and secondary sites across the country.
The rallies were not only expressions of solidarity, but also strong messages of support for the Yemeni Armed Forces' military operations in support of Gaza and Palestine.
In Saada province, the Committee to Support Al-Aqsa designated 35 separate locations for the million-person marches, while Raymah province prepared 88 squares for the same cause.
Yemeni Missile Reaches Occupied Territories, Settlers Panic
Earlier on Friday, sirens were activated across central "Israel" and occupied Al-Quds, after a missile launched from Yemen reached Israeli airspace. The missile reportedly caused a fire near Beit Shemesh, and Israeli media confirmed that several settlers were injured while rushing to shelters. Instances of panic-induced trauma were also recorded.
This missile launch occurred just hours after intense US airstrikes targeted Ras Isa oil port in Hodeidah, a critical civilian facility in Yemen.
US Escalates Bombing in Yemen: Ras Isa Port Massacre
The Ras Isa oil port suffered severe destruction following multiple US airstrikes late Thursday and continuing into Friday. Warplanes returned to the site, killing at least five emergency workers who were battling massive fires.
According to Al-Masirah TV, citing the Health Office in Hodeidah, the death toll has risen to 58 martyrs with 126 others injured, with the number expected to climb due to the high number of critical cases and ongoing search efforts for missing persons.
The attack on Ras Isa fits a broader pattern of escalating US airstrikes across Yemen, which have largely targeted civilian infrastructure—including hospitals, schools, homes, and roads—under the false pretext of striking missile launch sites.
Yemen’s Defiance: Support for Palestine Remains Unshaken
Despite relentless US and British attacks on Yemeni soil, the Yemeni Armed Forces continue to strike deep into the occupied Palestinian territories and maintain operations in the Red Sea, targeting Israeli maritime routes and hostile naval vessels—including US destroyers.
On Thursday, the leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast position in support of Palestine during a televised speech.
"The Yemeni front is strong and inspiring—it stands as a model for others," Sayyed al-Houthi declared.
"Our people, despite enduring hardship, have risen to fulfill their faith-based and jihadi duty, which has deeply angered the American and Israeli enemies."
He stressed that Yemen’s stance, both official and popular, continues to support what he referred to as the "promised liberation and sacred struggle." (PW)
