Sayyed Al-Houthi: Israel and the U.S. Are a Cancer That Must Be Uprooted for Regional Peace
He condemned Israel and the U.S. as a cancer in the region, threatening global peace and security, with the U.S. presenting Israel as an ideal model despite its genocidal crimes.
Yemen - Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi emphasized that the Israeli enemy constantly seeks to eliminate the Palestinian cause altogether. It also aims to completely end any discussion of the right of return for Palestinians living abroad.
In a speech delivered on Thursday (April 10), Sayyed stated that all past stages of the conflict provide daily evidence that the Israeli enemy has no interest in “peace” or “political solutions.”
He added that the American side openly supports the displacement of Palestinians—a position recently echoed by Trump, who said this week that Gaza would be called the “Land of Freedom” after the expulsion of its people.
Sayyed Al-Houthi denounced this, asking: “What kind of freedom is that when its people are displaced and the land is occupied?”
Gaza, the Ceasefire, and the Brutality of the Israeli Offensive
Beginning his address with a description of the situation in Gaza, Sayyed Al-Houthi noted Israel’s violation of the ceasefire agreement and its continued attacks with full American backing.
He pointed out that Yemen acted to support Gaza after the Israeli enemy broke the agreement and launched a comprehensive campaign of genocide against the Palestinian people.
Initially, Gaza experienced a brief moment of calm, but once Israeli aggression resumed, the Palestinian tragedy only worsened. He emphasized the sheer scale of Palestinian suffering, marked by death, starvation, and hardship in all aspects of life.
He condemned Netanyahu and his criminal clique for being indifferent to the prisoner issue. The agreement could have secured the release of Israeli prisoners without resorting to genocide and mass destruction in Gaza. The Israeli proposals outside the agreement, he said, reflect tyranny, criminality, and blatant arrogance.
Displacement, Occupation, and the U.S.-Israeli Alliance
Sayyed Al-Houthi warned that Israel aims to achieve its dangerous goal of displacing the population of Gaza. Should this succeed, Israel will then move on to fully expelling Palestinians from the West Bank.
He explained that displacement in the West Bank is already taking place systematically and gradually, as seen in the camps of Jenin and Tulkarm, and now in Balata.
He criticized the closure of UNRWA schools in Al-Quds and the deprivation of Palestinians from education as part of Israel’s hostile agenda.
He stressed that American control of Gaza is not a liberation but a blatant act of occupation and criminal bullying.
He called for confronting this brutal, unjust path backed by full American support, and praised the heroic resistance operations in Gaza and the West Bank. Without this resistance and divine assistance, the Israeli enemy would have achieved its goals, he noted.
The Only Path Forward: Resistance and Rejecting Capitulation
Sayyed Al-Houthi called on the entire Ummah to support the Palestinian people and their resistance fighters, highlighting that Gaza fighters have continued rocket operations despite extreme conditions.
He described ground resistance to Israeli incursions as proof of the effectiveness of armed jihad.
He asserted that armed resistance is the only effective choice and that relying on political settlements has failed. Capitulation, he said, offers nothing for Palestinians, neighboring countries, or the broader Muslim nation.
He pointed out that the U.S. now blatantly reneges on its commitments as a guarantor for Israel, as the enemy escalates attacks on Lebanon and conducts assassinations in Syria.
He condemned Israel and the U.S. as a cancer in the region, threatening global peace and security, with the U.S. presenting Israel as an ideal model despite its genocidal crimes.
He warned against Israel’s violations in Syria, stating that no amount of appeasement or concessions would ever satisfy its ambitions.
He rejected the legitimacy of Israeli military zones and buffer areas in neighboring countries, saying these terms are meaningless and illegal.
He criticized the U.S. for preventing Iraq from using air defense systems when Israeli jets violate its airspace, arguing that this shows American complicity.
Sayyed Al-Houthi emphasized that Israel uses a “taming” approach with Arab nations, gradually turning what was once forbidden into something accepted.
The Role of the People and the Need for Global Mobilization
Sayyed stated that ruling regimes treat Israeli aggression with short-sightedness, constantly reiterating their commitment to failed peace processes.
He called for expanding protests in various countries and increasing media and educational efforts to support Palestine, even in the face of Western efforts to suppress such movements.
He urged Yemeni, Arab, and Muslim communities in the West to mobilize and awaken anyone with a human conscience to support the Palestinian cause.
He warned that neglecting the Palestinian cause will have dangerous consequences for Muslims and will only embolden the enemy.
He concluded by urging mass demonstrations wherever possible and called for intensified awareness campaigns and mobilization efforts, stating that these activities must rise to a very high level in the face of current threats. (PW)
