Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Iran marked Army Day on April 17 with a large-scale military parade attended by President Masoud Pezeshkian, highlighting the country’s defense capabilities, including a prominent display of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Nationwide Ceremonies and Military Presence
Iran held its annual Army Day parade on April 18 near the mausoleum of the late Imam Khomeini, with President Masoud Pezeshkian in attendance.
The ceremony took place simultaneously in provincial capitals across the country.
Senior commanders of Iran’s armed forces were also present at the main event.
Various infantry and mechanized units from the Army’s Ground, Air, Naval, and Air Defense forces participated in the parade.









Drone and Ground Equipment Showcase
Following the president’s speech, Army infantry units marched past the main reviewing stand.
Mechanized units then commenced their parade, starting with a display of dozens of reconnaissance and combat drones.
Among the UAVs showcased were the Arash, Karrar, Amin, Sadeq, Mohajer-6, Ababil-5, and Kaman-12.
Following the drone display, the Army exhibited its ground force equipment, including tanks, armored vehicles, artillery, and the Fath 360 missile system.
Air Demonstrations and Defense Systems
Simultaneously, Army paratroopers conducted an aerial demonstration over the parade grounds.
The Air Defense Force presented its radar systems along with missile systems, including the S-300 and other domestically developed platforms.
The Air Force and Navy also showcased elements of their operational capabilities during the event. (PW)
