Abu Ubaida: Palestine Will Not Forget Yemen’s Honorable Stance and Unshakable Determination
The loyal brothers in Yemen continue to paralyze the heart of the Zionist entity, standing alongside Gaza, which is facing a brutal genocidal war, despite paying a heavy price in blood and resources
Palestine - Abu Ubaida, the military spokesperson for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, praised Yemen’s ongoing resistance to Israeli occupation and its support for the Palestinian people.
In a brief statement on Sunday evening, Abu Ubaida said, “The loyal brothers in Yemen continue to paralyze the heart of the Zionist entity, standing alongside Gaza, which is facing a brutal genocidal war, despite paying a heavy price in blood and resources out of their loyalty to Palestine and Al-Aqsa.”
He emphasized that the people of Palestine “will not forget this honorable stance and the unshakable determination that reflects the goodness of this nation and its potential to shake the security of the Zionist entity when faith, willpower, and even modest means come together.”
Missile Alerts Sound Across Israel After Yemen Launch
Explosions and air raid sirens were heard across occupied Palestine on Sunday evening following the launch of missiles from Yemen, according to Israeli media reports.
The Hebrew-language daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported that sirens went off in the greater Tel Aviv area and occupied Al-Quds, following the interception of a missile launched by Yemen's Ansarallah.
Israel’s Home Front Command announced that air raid sirens were activated in nearly 300 towns and cities across central Israel.
Ansarallah Renews Attacks in Solidarity with Gaza
In solidarity with Gaza against Israeli genocide, Yemen’s Ansarallah movement has, since November 2023, targeted Israeli-linked cargo ships in the Red Sea and other areas using missiles and drones.
Tensions between Ansarallah and the Israeli regime, along with its main ally the United States, have recently intensified after Israel violated the latest ceasefire agreement with Hamas and resumed its genocidal assault on Gaza. Ansarallah responded by restarting military operations against Israel and its interests.
US Airstrikes Kill Over 100 Civilians in Yemen
From March 15 until last Thursday, U.S. warplanes carried out hundreds of airstrikes on Yemen, resulting in the deaths of 118 civilians and injuries to 222 others, most of them women and children, according to data released by Ansarallah.
These airstrikes followed orders from U.S. President Donald Trump for the military to launch a “major offensive” against the Houthi group, with threats to “completely eliminate” them. Despite the threats, Ansarallah resumed its missile strikes on Israeli territory and vessels headed there, in response to Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza.
Genocide in Gaza Continues Amid Total Blockade
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has carried out a relentless U.S.-backed campaign of genocide in the Gaza Strip, resulting in nearly 167,000 Palestinians killed or wounded, the vast majority being women and children, with over 11,000 still missing. The destruction has caused an unprecedented humanitarian disaster.
In addition to the bombardment, Israel has imposed a suffocating blockade on Gaza, cutting off access to food, water, medicine, and fuel, which the Gaza government describes as leading to a “catastrophe without precedent.”(PW)
