TEHRAN, January 18 (MNA) – Turkish forces are reportedly building a military base in northwest Syria.News sources reported that Turkish forces have entered the northwest of Syria in order to establish a military base in the Arab state's Latakia province.

Turkish soldiers have entered some villages in the north of Latakia along with engineering and mapping equipment, the so-called Syrian Observatory For Human Rights reported.

It added that Turkish forces have installed the Turkish flag in different areas of villages and schools in northwestern Syria.
