The incident occurred on Tuesday on Line 12 of the metro, near the stations of Tezonco and Olivos in the southeastern part of the city.

Videos and photos from the scene of the accident circulated on social media, showing the scale of destruction.

According to preliminary reports, medics and emergency services have already been dispatched to the site of the incident, while the head of the Mexico City government Claudia Sheinbaum has arrived on the scene.
