By Staff Hezbollah issued the following statement: Hezbollah expresses warm condolences with the family of great late Sayyed Sadiq al-Mahdi, Sudan’s al-Umma Party, the dear al-Ansar sect, and the brotherly people of Sudan.

It also prays that Allah, the almighty, allows him to dwell in His spacious paradises and inspires his family, supporters, and lovers with patience and solace. The great late was known for major keenness to the Sudanese people’s unity, and preserving their national and Islamic identity. He was one of the “distinguished personalities” among those championing the “anti-[global] arrogance ideology and struggle." Al-Mahdi was a defender of the Palestinian cause and the track of resistance.

He would strongly oppose any sort of rapprochement with the Zionist regime, especially any potential détente involving the Sudanese authorities and the enemy’s entity.
