TEHRAN, April 24 (MNA) – The high-ranking officials of Iran and Sri Lanka signed 5 cooperation documents in different fields after holding a joint meeting of the high-ranking delegations of the two countries chaired by the two presidents.

The high-ranking officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the presence of President Ebrahim Raeisi and President Ranil Wickremesinghe signed five different cooperation documents on Wednesday.

The five cooperation documents were in the fields of "cultural, scientific, technical, mass media and sports and youth cooperation", "cooperation between the national libraries of the two countries", "cooperation between the Iran Chamber of Cooperatives and National Co-Operative Council of Sri Lanka", "Media and tourism cooperation between Iran's Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and Sri Lanka's Ministry of Media, Tourism and Aviation" and "Cooperation in the field of film industry between the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran and the The National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka (NFC)." Heading a high-ranking delegation, the Iranian president arrived in Colombo for a state visit on Wednesday from Pakistan.
