TEHRAN, April 24 (MNA) – The Iranian national men's futsal team defeated the team of Kyrgyzstan 6-1 in the 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup quarterfinals underway in Thailand on Wednesday.

The Iranian team headed by former legend player Vahid Shamsaei has powerfully advanced to the semi-final of the 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup with the decisive victory over Kyrgyzstan.

The Iranian side has also secured a berth in the 2024 World Cup which is slated to be held in Uzbekistan.

Iran began the tournament held in Thailand with a 3-1 win against debutant Afghanistan, which followed by a 5-3 victory over Bahrain before sealing top spot in Group D after its 4-0 decisive victory against Kuwait.
