TEHRAN, April 16 (MNA) – Iranian president Ebrahim Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi discussed Iran-Israel developments with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.In a telephone conversation, Putin and Raeisi discussed the aftermath of Israel's strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus and Tehran's retaliatory measures, the Kremlin said.

Putin expressed hope that all sides would show reasonable restraint and prevent a new round of confrontation.

The Iranian president noted that Iran's actions were forced and limited in nature, and stressed its disinterest in further escalation.
