TEHRAN, April 09 (MNA) – The Iranian national boxing team has defeated Russia in a friendly match held in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.Iranian boxers had a friendly match against their Russian counterparts, in which they won six times and lost once.

The winning boxers were Mehdi Parvizi (51kg), Pouria Abdolmaleki (57kg), Baqer Faraji (63.5kg), Mohammad Nourani (71kg), Salar Radmard (80kg), and Ali Fathi (92kg).

Meanwhile, Majid Jamshidvand in the weight category of +92 kg lost to his Russian opponent.

The match took place on April 8, 2024, at the Nateq Nouri Boxing Hall in Enghelab Sports Complex in Tehran.

The Iranian boxers participated in this friendly match as part of their preparation for the Paris Olympics qualifications, which are scheduled to take place in late May in Thailand.
