Israeli warplanes launched a series of strike on Gaza strip on Wednesday, occupation military said.

Israeli fighter jets attacked several Hamas facilities, occupation military said, claiming the attack was in response to rocket launches from Gaza ta the occupied territories.

Palestinian media confirmed the Israeli strikes, noting that they targeted Hamas facilities in central Gaza.

Ynet Israeli news website quoted occupation military sources as saying that the Wednesday rockets were launched by a group affiliated within the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement.
