In the latest escalation of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, the Israeli occupation military launched a series of raids and artillery strikes across the Gaza Strip, leaving at least 4 Palestinians dead and several others injured.

This comes as the United Nations warns that over 2 million Gazans are trapped in a humanitarian crisis, besieged by hunger, thirst, and disease.

The attacks targeted various areas in the northern and central parts of the coastal enclave, including the Beit Lahia and Nuseirat refugee camps.

According to medical sources, the strikes killed 4 civilians and wounded many more.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has sounded the alarm, stating that the 2 million Palestinians displaced in Gaza are struggling to access basic necessities like food and water.

The agency warned that 'obtaining meals has become an impossible task for families in the Strip.'

Save the Children also reported that around 130,000 children under the age of 10 have been trapped for 50 days in the besieged northern Gaza region, cut off from critical supplies of food, water, and medicine.

The situation has been further exacerbated by the recent inclement weather, with heavy rains and winds flooding dozens of makeshift shelters housing the displaced.

The Gaza Municipality warned that the mass displacement is exacerbating health and environmental crises, risking the spread of disease due to overcrowding and shortages of resources.
