In a violent incident on Monday morning, Israeli occupation forces opened fire on a Palestinian man at the Mazmoria checkpoint near occupied Jerusalem.

The man was accused of attempting a stabbing attack on the forces, but his identity and charges have not been confirmed yet.

The occupation police claimed that 'a fighter from the MGB movement neutralized the suspect,' before later admitting that their soldier shot and killed the man.

As tensions continue to rise, hundreds of settlers and extremists, including Rabbi Yehuda Glick, visited the mosque on the second day of the Hebrew New Year.

Yesterday, there were multiple attacks on worshipers at the mosque, according to reports.
