Tensions are high in occupied Palestine after Israeli occupation forces raided Jenin on Monday night and arrested an Islamic Jihad commander, prompting clashes with Palestinians.

Palestinian Health Ministry pronounced martyrdom of Palestinian teen, Dirar Al-Kafrini, 17, saying that he was transferred into Jenin Public Hospital.

Palestinian sources said that Israeli occupation forces raided Jenin camp late on Monday, prompting fierce clashes with Palestinians who rushed to defend the camp.

Occupation forces arrested Islamic Jihad commander Bassam Al-Saadi along with his son-in-law Ashraf Al-Jadaa after attacking their house.

Al-Saadi was reportedly injured by the Israeli assault, according to the sources.

Al-Saadi, 62, was previously detained seven times by the Israeli occupation for his role as Islamic Jihad’s top leader in the West Bank.

He has served a total of 15 years in Israeli prisons.

Two of his sons, also part of the Palestinian resistance group, were martyred by the Israeli occupation military during the Second Intifada.

Israeli media confirmed the clashes, the arrest, and martyrdom of Palestinian teen Al-Kafrini.

Zionist media also reported that occupation military has increased its alert level and closed off roads next to the Gaza Strip after it arrested the head of Palestinian Islamic Jihad overnight during a raid in Jenin.

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid will hold a security situation assessment on Tuesday morning with Alternate Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Defense Minister Benny Gantz, National Security Advisor Eyal Haluta, Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen.

Aviv Kochavi, Shin Bet Chief Ronen Bar and other senior security officials, according to the Jerusalem Post.
