Islamic Jihad official Daoud Shehab warned Wednesday that the events taking place in occupied Al-Quds amount to ethnic cleansing.

“What’s happening in Al-Quds amounts to ethnic cleansing and oppression against the native people of this land,” Shehab said in remarks carried by Palestine Today TV channel.

The only way to deter the occupation is Resistance and confrontation, the Islamic Jihad official noted.

“Misleading media will never delude us from the daily (Israeli) attempts to root up Palestinians in Al-Quds.

We have no choice but to resist,” he said.

“Betting on Israeli courts is void as this entity has been founded on wars, murder and violence,” Shehab stated, referring to Israeli attempts to evict Palestinian families from their homes in several neighborhoods in occupied Al-Quds (including Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood).

In this context, the Palestinian official stressed that the “Resistance factions abide by its stance in refusing to omit Gaza of the equation and keep it away from events taking place in Al-Quds.” On the other hand, Shehab slammed stance of some Arab countries regarding the Palestinian cause, saying that normalization deals with the Zionist entity serves the occupation regime “for free.”
