TEHRAN, May 14 (MNA) – The funeral ceremony of the ruler of the UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan was held on Saturday morning in the presence of senior UAE officials including Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Download 5 MB The ruler of the UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan died at the age of 73 on Friday, was laid to rest in al-Bateen cemetery in Abu Dhabi.

Born in 1948, Sheikh Khalifa was chosen in 2004 to succeed his long-serving father Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan who ascended the throne in 1971.
