TEHRAN, September 18 (MNA) – September 18 has been named the 'National Day of Persian Poetry and Literature' in Iran to coincide with the death anniversary of the legendary Iranian poet Shahriar.

Download 20 MB Mohammad Hossein Behjat Tabrizi, whose pen name was Shahriar, was undoubtedly a gifted and talented contemporary poet.

He is the composer of the first and most famous Azari language poetry collection ever written by an Iranian.
