On the eighteenth day of the 2006 July War, the Resistance fighters rubbed the nose of the Zionist entity in the dirt, with occupation announcing withdrawal from the southern border town of Bint Jbeil.

Following days of epic fighting in Bint Jbeil, Israeli occupation soldiers were forced to leave the town.

During the morning hours of Saturday, July 29, 2006, most of the Israeli units who took part in Bint Jbeil operation began to withdraw from the area.

The battle for Bint Jbeil has symbolized the Israeli difficulty in pushing Hezbollah fighters back from the border, whether by air bombardment or ground assault.

Israeli commanders tried to downplay the pullout, with then Head of Israeli Northern Command Udi Adam saying the occupation army was “not planning” to invade Bint Jbeil.

Meanwhile, the Israeli brutal aggression went ahead.

At least 14 Lebanese civilians were martyred in strikes on Nmairieh and Ain Arab towns.

Many others were injured as the Israeli raids pounded southern and Bekaist areas across Lebanon.

Beirut’s southern suburb (Dahiyeh) was also targeted with heavy strikes.

In his fifth appearance since the start of the war on July 12, 2006, Hezbollah Secretary General announced the group’s shift to ‘beyond Haifa’ equation by targeting Afula area a day earlier.

He announced that more Israeli cities in the Zionist entity’s center were under the range of Hezbollah’s rocket fire.

The Resistance leader stressed meanwhile that victory would be for entire Lebanon as well as for every free person who has stand by the Resistance.

Also on that day, the Zionist entity refused a UN request to have a 72-hour-ceasefire.

For his part, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said voiced unwavering support to Hezbollah in face of the Israeli brutality.

“Since the launch of the Resistance against the US and the Zionist regime, Hezbollah chief turned to be the most beloved person by the people of the world,” Imam Khamenei said referring to Sayyed Nasrallah.
