The US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, discussed with the Zionist Mossad Chief, Yossi Cohen, the recent accusations to Iran of having ties with Al-Qaeda militant groups, according to Israeli circles.

The Zionist circles considered that Pompeo's accusations came of context trying to frustrate any of the new President Joe Biden's plans to change policy towards Iran.

According to media reports, Pompeo had provided Cohen with intelligence data upon which the Israeli air force waged overnight its attack on eastern Syria. SANA reported that the Israeli war jets raided early Wednesday areas in Deir Ezzor and Albu Kamal in eastern Syria.
