Hezbollah's Secretary General, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, said on Thursday that the concepts of jihad, resistance, and martyrdom are integral to our cherished culture of life, as they enable us to safeguard our nations and wealth from occupation and plunder.

During his speech on the fifth eve of Ashura, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that 'the resistance in Lebanon liberated the land, preserved dignity, and fostered prosperity, contrasting with claims from some in Lebanon that the culture of resistance equates to a culture of death.' 'After the success of resistance movements in Lebanon and other countries, efforts were made to distort the concepts of resistance, redemption, and jihad, aiming to alienate people from them, resulting in the emergence of Takfiri groups created by American and British intelligence,' Sayyed Nasrallah added.

Islam: The Essence of a Noble Life In his address, Sayyed Nasrallah expounded on the authentic culture of life Islam promotes, which Hezbollah and its supporters embrace.

This topic has long been contentious, with some Lebanese accusing the group of disregarding life and rejecting happiness.

However, his eminence clarified how Islam structured life's principles to enable humans to live their lives in the most favorable conditions.

'According to the Qur'an, God desires for humanity to live a virtuous life both in this world and the hereafter.

Islam emphasizes that killing one innocent person is akin to killing all of humanity, and saving one life is like saving all of humanity.

This concept underscores the culture of living an honorable life, affirming that taking one human life is equivalent to genocide,' his eminence clarified.

Resistance Worldwide Discussing humanity's innate drive to defend their land, people, and national resources, His Eminence emphasized how 'the Vietnamese reclaimed their territory through resilience, patience, and solidarity.' He also highlighted China's steadfast resistance during Japan's occupation from 1937 to 1945, where millions sacrificed to prevent subjugation.

'Had the Chinese people capitulated, they would have endured occupation, possibly faring worse than many third-world nations today, yet they have emerged as a global powerhouse,' Sayyed Nasrallah said.

In addition, Hezbollah's leader also underscored France's prolonged resistance to the German occupation.
