Member of Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Hasan Fadlallah addressed Tuesday the Iranian foreign ministry's held in Tehran to commemorate the late diplomat Hussein Sheikh Al-Islam on behalf of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah.

We meet on the eve of Shaaban 15, the Birthday of Imam Mahdi (P) to commemorate one of the senior followers of the Imam, Sayyed Nasrallah said.

Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that Sheikh Al-Islam was the rebelling diplomat who conveyed the message of the Islamic Republic in support of the righteous causes of Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Iraq, adding that the late diplomat was the pious official who assumes the responsibility and shows commitment to Imam Mahdi path.

Based on the teachings of Imam Khomeini, Sheikh Al-Islam used to struggle and confront the US imperialism and the Zionist entity, according to Sayyed Nasrallah who added that our nations are in need of the late diplomat's sample of understanding the essence of the conflict.

Sayyed Nasrallah affirmed that the Resistance in Lebanon managed to confront all the enemies' wars and face the economic siege imposed in response to the field achievements.

Sheikh Al-Islam, who was Iran's ambassador to Syria and international deputy of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, passed away in Tehran’s Masih Daneshvari Hospital from the new coronavirus on March 6, 2020.
