“American Zionist duplicity knows no bounds,” American political analyst Dennis Etler has said, after the Pentagon supplied one million surgical masks to Israeli troops despite the mask scarcity in the US amid the coronavirus outbreak. “The predatory nature of US imperialism has been highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The country with the supposedly most advanced economy in the world was caught flat-footed by the pandemic.

Having outsourced its manufacturing capacity to China to make a quick buck the US found itself totally unprepared for what was to come,” Etler said an interview with Press TV on Thursday.

“All the medical supplies it was lacking are low tech face masks and other PPI (personal protection items).

As a result, the US has been scrounging around the world, trying to secure the items by hook or by crook,” stated Etler, a former professor of Anthropology at Cabrillo College in Aptos, California.

“Engaging in outright piracy, seizing and diverting supplies across the globe, the US has revealed itself for what it is, an evil Empire that is concerned with nothing other than its own advantage.

America First, let the world be damned,” he noted.

“But the US doesn't even give priority to its own armed forces, preferring to supply the Zionist regime with medical supplies even before its own troops,” the analyst pointed out.

“Rather than reveal its duplicity the US and its Zionist ally divert attention away from their malfeasance by pointing a finger at China as the source of the supplies.

Yes, China produces much of the world's PPI, but the shipment was bought by the US not Israel,” he said.

“American Zionist duplicity knows no bounds,” he concluded.

US gives 1 million masks to Israel as American troops have to make their own amid COVID-19 outbreak
According to the Jerusalem Post, the masks were procured from China, and a plane carrying the medical stuff intended for Israeli troops landed at Ben Gurion Airport on Tuesday night.

“In the past two weeks, we have purchased and flown to Israel tens of thousands of swabs, masks, protective suits for medical staff and more,” said Limor Kolishevsky, head of the New York Purchasing and Logistics Division
