TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei described utilizing the private sector’s capabilities as the way to Iran’s progress. - Economy news - Ayatollah Khamenei visited the exhibition "Pioneers of Progress: A national event showcasing the capabilities and achievements of the private sector" for two and a half hours on Tuesday, January 21.The exhibition highlighted the capabilities and achievements of the private sector across a diverse range of fields, including communications and information technology, satellite manufacturing equipment, artificial intelligence, and the production of aircraft repair tools and equipment.It also featured advancements in the mining and geology sectors, the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, the steel and aluminum industries, household appliances, marine industries, the carpet industry, water and electricity sectors, textile industries, medical and hospital equipment, pharmaceutical production, and innovations from the Royan Research Institute.
Furthermore, the exhibition presented advancements in agricultural and livestock production, in addition to handicrafts and tourism.During this visit, various private sector companies voiced their concerns and complaints regarding the challenges and obstacles they face.The Leader addressed the ministers present at the exhibition, emphasizing that the government officials must take proactive steps to address the concerns of the private sector.Ayatollah Khamenei underscored that Iran’s progress depends on empowering the private sector.The Leader also emphasized the importance of implementing solutions in the water and electricity sectors following the Minister of Energy's remarks on addressing imbalances in the electricity sector, khamenei.ir reported.“While these statements are commendable and accurate, they must progress to the stage of implementation.
The issues of imbalances and their solutions have been discussed for many years, yet we still find ourselves significantly distant from the outcome that we desire,” the Leader stated.
