Paris, SANA- French railway company “SNCF” was subjected to a massive large-scale attack aimed at paralyzing its high-speed train network, hours before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games began in Paris.AFP quoted the company as saying in a statement “We will divert the route of some trains to the conventional line, but we will have to cancel a large number of routes”, noting that “this situation could continue throughout the weekend at least until repairs can be made.”In turn, SNCF chairman Jean-Pierre Farandou said in a press conference: “The massive attack on the high-speed train network, causing disruptions in train traffic and having to cancel of trips throughout the weekend, will affect about 800,000 passengers.”London-based Eurostar noted that its train services between London and Paris had been disrupted by the attack, resulting in several flights being cancelled and others taking longer.The disruption has caused significant delays and cancellations of train services, greatly affecting passengers and athletes traveling for the international event.
