TEHRAN, April 22 (MNA) – People in Greece held rallies against NATO, the US, and the EU as well as in support of Gaza amid the ongoing Israeli war against it.According to Al Mayadeen, the current march began in Attic Peninsula at 8 a.m.

local time [05:00 GMT] and was expected to include hundreds of people, a number which may have increased.

Many other events are also predicted to happen all over Greece today.

"No participation in the NATO-US-EU plans," "Close the death bases in Greece" and "We stand for solidarity with the Palestinian people," are slogans being raised in the march.

In a statement, the organizers announced, "We are sending a signal to fight against the war and Greece’s involvement in it." The first Marathon Peace March in the country took place in 1963, despite a ban by Greek authorities at the time.
