TEHRAN, April 20 (MNA) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson condemned the new US action in imposing oil sanctions on Venezuela.The use of unilateral illegal sanctions as a tool causes irreparable human and economic damage to countries, Nasser Kan'ani said.

He considered the imposition of unilateral sanctions as a violation of the principles of international law, human rights, and international laws and regulations.

The Biden administration said it would not renew a license set to expire early on Thursday that had broadly eased Venezuela's oil sanctions.
