TEHRAN, April 25 (MNA) – Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani left Tehran for Astana to participate in the SCO meeting of defense ministers.Ashtiani is scheduled to attend the meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan.

The Iranian defense minister is set to hold talks with his counterparts from SCO member states during his Astana visit.

The meeting is expected to review the regional security issues, including the defense cooperation initiatives, within the SCO MP/6088546
