Iran's air defenses were put to the test as they successfully repelled a drone attack over Isfahan and Tabriz, Iranian media reported.

Contrary to rumors of an Israeli attack on Iran, no external aggression took place after Friday midnight.

The Iranian Space Agency confirmed the downing of several drones over Iranian airspace, with sources pointing to domestic origins of the attack.

The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) stated that short-range and medium-range air defense systems played a crucial role in intercepting the drones.

The Director General of the Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company announced the suspension of all air traffic in Isfahan, Shiraz, and Tehran as a precaution.

Explosions were heard in Isfahan, with air defense systems activated to counter the threats.

In Tabriz, northern Iran, a series of explosions were reported as air defenses successfully intercepted incoming drones.

The Iranian Space Agency spokesperson emphasized that all explosions heard were a direct result of interceptors neutralizing the aerial targets.

Iranian sources denounced claims of an Israeli attack, attributing the rumors to a misinformation campaign fueled by complicit United States media outlets.

Despite the tensions, Iran's air defenses stood strong in defending the country's airspace.
